Short term...
(today and tonight)

.Warm-up continues...

The warming trend will continue today and tonight. Highs today,
mainly in the mid to upper 70s, look likely. Winds, from the south
and southwest will help push highs today above usual early
December highs. As another cold front approaches, winds tonight
will come more from the west, and this will help create lows
tonight well above usual early December lows.

Long term...
(monday through Tuesday night)

.Another cold front and possible rain...

This next cold front still looks on track for mainly Monday night.
This front will bring gusty winds, from the north, along with the
potential for rain. The best timing for rain remains Monday night.
Rainfall amounts around one half inch still look reasonable, for
much of west central Texas. As for any wintry mix, models indicate
the best potential will be over the big country; however,
confidence remains too low this cycle to introduce any freezing or
frozen precipitation. Waiting for one more model cycle looks
best. As the upper system moves east, rain chances end Tuesday
night.

(Wednesday through saturday)

.Dry with a slow warm-up...

After an unusually cold day Tuesday, temperatures will begin to
warm Wednesday, as low-level flow, from the south, returns.
Another upper trough will move, from west to east over the region,
late next week; however, this system still looks dry. By Friday
afternoon, highs will again range several degrees above usual
early December highs, as another cold front approaches. Highs on
Saturday may be even warmer.
