Latest update...

issued at 154 PM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019

gusty winds and small hail possible

in temperature

- chance of showers and storms late this weekend through early

Discussion...(this evening through next tuesday)
issued at 330 PM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019

The upper level wave passing through lower Michigan will take the
convection out of lower Michigan shortly after sunset.

There is some potential for some fog tonight as high pressure
moves in and the winds become light after midnight.

Shortwave ridging between now and Sat will provide mostly clear
skies and slowing warming temperatures.

Next major Pacific system will likely bring significant wx late in
the weekend to early the following week. System may bring
thunderstorms and locally heavy rain.

Aviation...(for the 06z tafs through 06z thursday)
issued at 1130 PM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019

VFR conditions will continue at most of the terminals through late
Wednesday evening. The only exception to this is at klan/kjxn
where some patchy fog may develop during the early morning hours
Wednesday that could cause some reductions to MVFR/IFR until fog
dissipates by mid morning.

issued at 330 PM EDT Tue Jul 23 2019

We have a brief period of gusty north-northwest winds and 2-3 ft waves occuring
this evening, otherwise high pressure moving in will cause
generally light winds. No marine headlines are expected for the
next few days. Over the weekend we will probably need a Small
Craft Advisory as the next major system moves into the area during
the weekend.
