Discussion...(today through next wednesday)
issued at 310 am EDT Thu Aug 22 2019

Forecast concerns are minimal as Canadian high pressure will
gradually build in from the northwest and result in cooler and
much less humid wx late this week through the weekend. We expect
a bkn fair wx cu deck to develop mid to late morning through the
afternoon and again on Friday.

It is not completely impossible that couple of shortwaves
dropping in from the NW could touch off development of an isolated
shower or sprinkle. Overall though a consensus of latest high res
guidance suggests that dry wx will prevail the next couple of days
and this seems reasonable due to the dry airmass that will be
in place.

Much more in terms of sun is forecast this wknd in subsidence
under the high pressure ridge that will be overhead by then.
Southerly winds will begin to ramp up Sunday night on the back
side of the departing ridge and out ahead of the low presure
system over the central/northern plains states. That system will
move in from the west and bring the next chance for rain late
Monday into Tuesday.

Aviation...(for the 06z tafs through 06z friday)
issued at 1140 PM EDT Wed Aug 21 2019

VFR conditions will continue at all the terminals through Thursday
evening. Potential for fog is much lower early Thursday morning
now that a drier airmass is moving in along with winds staying up
around 5 to 10 mph overnight. A bkn fair wx cumulus deck will
devleop from mid to late Thursday morning through the afternoon.
Skies will clear Thursday evening.

Marine...
issued at 310 am EDT Thu Aug 22 2019

High pressure will result in rather minimal wind speeds and wave
heights late this week into the weekend. Winds will increase a bit
late Sunday into Monday on the back side of the departing high
pressure ridge and as a low pressure system approaches the Great
Lakes region.
