.SHORT TERM...valid for Tue

The cold front has passed through the area, and the gusty
northwest winds have arrived. Much of the area is seeing gusts 30
mph plus. These winds will continue into the evening, but should
be decreasing overnight as the pressure gradient relaxes. While
the radar has been showing weak echos, the reports have been only
been of virga.

Going into Tuesday, the are will be under some ridging, bring
dry weather. As tomorrow will be behind the front, expecting
temperatures to be slightly cooler, with highs generally in the
mid 50s. Overnight, the flow will start to flatten. Reimer

.LONG TERM...valid for Wed...Thu...Fri...Sat...Sun...Mon...

Ridging looks to persist Wednesday through Thursday morning, then
an unsettled weather pattern will occur through the weekend.
Temperatures will slowly cool off through the extended period as
broad upper troughing and a series of shortwaves will slowly bring
cooler air from the northwest. Light showers will mainly remain
over the mountains and higher elevations throughout this pattern,
with it slowly transitioning to snow as temperatures cool off
through the weekend. However, a deeper shortwave looks to pass
through the area on Sunday, bringing precipitation to the lower
elevations as well... starting off as snow Sunday morning and
transitioning to rain by the afternoon.

A couple windy patterns stand out through early next week, mainly
in the Livingston and surrounding areas. Friday evening, west-to-
northwest unidirectional winds look to mix down and bringing about
gusty conditions along foothills from Harlowton down through
Livingston. As broad upper ridging looks to return late Monday, an
impactful gap wind event looks to set up for the Livingston-Big
Timber areas late Monday through early Tuesday. Vertz

VFR conditions will prevail overnight and Tuesday. Gusty northwest
winds, with gusts of 30 to 40 knots, will start to decrease after
00Z. Winds could still be 10 to 15 knots through 12Z, but will be
lighter through the day Tuesday. Reimer
